Kababji - Hamra

The food is delicious, and the place is clean. They accept Visa and Mastercard, which isn't available at all restaurants. However, the portion sizes and sandwiches are small compared to the high prices.

Kababji never fails to disappoint me. The portions are honestly hilarious for what you pay, and after trying most of the menu over the years, the experience hasn’t improved. The place is clean ( as you can see in the photos) .. and they do use good quality ingredients, but the taste is just pale. There is no depth or excitement in the flavours. Take the eggplant fatte for example. It’s literally smoky mashed eggplants sitting on boiled chickpeas and plain yogurt, bread & nuts. Nothing added, nothing lifted, nothing balanced . Just check the pictures. I really don’t understand how they serve an item that incomplete. Even the lahm baajin, which used to be much better, was dry and flat this time. Overall, Kababji keeps missing the mark and the value just isn’t there.
