Abdel Wahab’s summer branch in Broumana has opened its doors at the former Ahwak location, bringing with it the cuisine and hospitality that have made the restaurant one of Lebanon’s most popular Lebanese dining destinations. As always, the food is excellent. The quality, flavors and consistency remain among the best, and there is no denying the reputation Abdel Wahab has built over the years. That said, restaurant prices in Lebanon continue to rise, and while many of us have come to expect it, some charges can feel difficult to justify. When adding two extra brochettes to a mixed grill platter results in an additional $30 on the bill, it starts to feel excessive, especially when the setting, though pleasant, is not particularly exceptional. For the sake of Abdel Wahab’s legacy and the quality it continues to deliver, I’ll leave it at that. ★★★☆☆ Otherwise, this would have easily been a five-star experience.
The place is so good and the shisha man Ahmad Kablawi is great
